Liposuction in general is best suited for active people with good skin tone. Extremely overweight people may require a tummy tuck liposuction procedure, during which time the doctor removes excess skin after performing liposuction on the abdominal region.

A potential tummy tuck liposuction candidate risks a number of side effects to the surgery, including infection, bleeding, healing problems, adverse reaction to anesthesia, etc. Those who are in shape and just want to tone up or remove stretch marks may not be prime candidates for a tummy tuck liposuction procedure. There are many less invasive alternatives.

Abdominoplasty, or a tummy tuck, can greatly reduce a patient’s overall size, tone up their body, and possibly remove inches around their waist, but not if the patient is not in prime condition for successful surgery. A tummy tuck liposuction procedure can take between one and five hours, and the pain afterward can be severe. Depending on the patient, a hospital stay can be from hours to several days.

The ideal candidate of a tummy tuck liposuction is over 18, in overall good physical condition, not looking to lose a lot of weight, not overly obese, and is realistic in expectations. If the expectations are unrealistic, the attending physician should sit with the candidate and explain exactly what can and cannot be accomplished with the procedure.

Is a Tummy Tuck Enough?

For those with severe weight issues, a tummy tuck liposuction alone may not produce the desired effects. In some cases, scarring can be potentially severe, and other options may be discussed. While skin tightens to some degree after a tummy tuck liposuction procedure, it cannot become taut where it was loose prior to surgery.

In 1999, a study showed the average cost of a tummy tuck liposuction procedure to be in excess of $4,200; it varies very little across the country. This cost does not include anesthesia, hospital cost, prescriptions, and other related costs. It is not something to be entered into lightly. In fact, many insurance companies will not cover a tummy tuck liposuction procedure, unless there is a reason other than cosmetic.

It is important to discuss the options with your insurance carrier—many have lifetime caps on certain surgical procedures such as a tummy tuck liposuction, and a large expense such as this may result in loss of future benefits (which might be of great concern if there are complications), or could increase the price of premiums.

Some say that the most common liposuction surgery is done on the neck and face. However, if you consider the statistics, you’ll find that the highest number of liposuction procedures actually point to abdomen liposuction. Of course, this makes sense too. Both men and women have trouble keeping off fat from the middle once they cross the age of 40. And then the exercises that are involved to keep the tummy fit are both too time consuming, and energy consuming. This is why most people go for the short-cut, i.e. abdomen liposuction.

The Benefits of Abdomen Liposuction

Liposuction is by far a very safe method of removing fat from the majority areas of the body. It is fast, simple, and the least invasive method amongst all types of cosmetic surgery. One of the major benefits of abdomen liposuction is the ‘feel-good’ factor that it brings. To see yourself in the mirror and like the image reflected is one of the most crucial factors for self-confidence in a person today; more so when almost everything depends upon your preventability.

There are other benefits as well. It has been proved through many research studies that the fat around the middle facilitates a host of diseases such as heart problems (through cholesterol), liver problems, and also diabetes. The removal of fat from the middle is thus quite essential. The safest way to do so is actually through abdomen liposuction.

The Risks of Abdomen Liposuction

There is a lot that can go wrong during surgery, and liposuction is no exception. This particular type of liposuction does not need too much time for surgery or recovery. Most of the time, you will need to stay for only a few hours in the hospital before being released. Only if you have very large amounts of fat removed, is there a possibility that you will be advised to stay overnight for observation.

The risk comes when large amounts of fat are removed. This is because the liposuction is done with the help of very small stainless steel cannula through which the fat is sucked out with vacuum power. When large amounts of fat are involved, the doctor tends to get tired and use larger cannula to finish the process faster. During this time, there is a very high risk to have the surrounding organs punctured which at times can be fatal.

Hence, the best advice for removal of large areas of fat from the abdominal region is to do so through a series of small duration sittings, rather than one long one. This way, you maximize the good results and reduce the risks considerably.

California is filled with some of the most beautiful people ever. Glamorous Hollywood actors, actresses, and beautiful models amongst others are just a start. You see them on TV, or in a magazine looking absolutely stunning. But to appear in a magazine or the red carpet looking your best takes work. Because of that, Beverly Hills, a high-class neighborhood in Southern California houses some of the best liposuction surgeons ever.

Here is why Beverly Hills liposuction is so very popular, and why you don’t have to be a movie star to get star treatment:

World Renowned

Southern California is one of the beautiful places on earth. People from all over the globe come to bask in the sun and beauty of the land, and cannot help but envy the gorgeous people who inhabit California. For those who want to look like one of the golden people, and want liposuction done, Beverly Hills is the highest ranked area for plastic surgery, especially liposuction. So if you really want quality work and don’t mind paying the high price, make the trip to Beverly Hills.

Experienced

Because California is a place of extreme physical beauty, it only makes sense that they harbor some of the most experienced surgeons. They have high standards of themselves as well for their clients. So if you want expertise, go get a Beverly Hills liposuction done, you’ll look as amazing as a movie star!

Documented

Beverly Hills liposuction, along with other cosmetic procedures has become so popular that even a TV show was made out of it. “Dr. 90210″ stemmed out of the abundance of plastic surgery in Southern California and in other parts of the country. The show documents real people who want to achieve the “perfect” body, and the surgeons who help them along the way. Sometimes the expectations are real, sometimes they are very extraordinary. Another show, “Nip/Tuck” which is a TV drama, was based off of the same cosmetic craze that has been running through the nation.

So, if you want to look like one of the “beautiful” people in Southern California, or at least want to say that you have a Beverly Hills liposuction, than consider making the trek to the Golden state for the procedure. If your body is truly your shrine then you want it to look great amongst others. No matter the cost or effort.

Before having a breast liposuction procedure, it is important to carefully interview and learn the qualifications of the surgeon. A qualified surgeon will answer any and all questions, including risks and complications, prior to the surgery being performed. Don’t accept blind assurances—ask for references, and check them.

Breast liposuction can be very costly. Surgical fees can run from $3,000 to $5,000 for men and $3,000 to $7,500 for women. Don’t shop for bargains; a lower price up front can lead to higher prices (in both health and currency) in the end. Other fees can include the hospital stay, the pharmacy, pre- and post-operative costs, and other considerations that may not be covered by insurance. Be wary of surgeons offering discounts; if they don’t do enough breast liposuction to stay busy, they might not have the expertise you are looking for.

Get an Examination Before Accepting A Quote

Don’t call around for breast liposuction prices. Prices given over the phone should not be accurate. No one should quote a price prior to examination; those who do should be able to provide a minimum and maximum. When you visit, ask for a written estimate. Make sure all fees are included, or that nothing is being hidden under a misc. type of description. If the surgeon tries to say, “don’t worry, it’s all covered under this price,” don’t let him give you the estimate without listing everything that is included.

Breast liposuction, unless medically necessary, is considered luxury elective surgery—most insurance plans won’t cover it. Many doctors accept credit cards, but it’s a very risky venture to go into debt for cosmetic surgery. There are even some companies that specialize in cosmetic surgery loans. Many require that the breast liposuction be done by a surgeon they approve. All loans are subject to credit approval; customers with excellent credit can get good rates; customers with bad credit will get rates considerably higher. Many loans start at 9.9% interest rate.

For those who can get a diagnosis from a doctor that breast liposuction is a medical necessity for weight loss consideration, there may be income tax deductions available. There are certain guidelines and requirements that must be met. IRS Publication 502, Medical and Dental Deductions, can provide a more detail description of the tax advantages. The American Obesity Association (AOA) has an article published on their web site. http://www.obesity.org/subs/tax/taxguide.shtml.

Breast liposuction is a relatively expensive procedure that should only be considered under prime financial or dire medical circumstances. With the price of medical care, college tuition, home purchases, and gasoline prices, one must determine whether going into debt for a purely cosmetic reason is worth the current and future financial obligations.

I have many people saying that liposuction is cheap. This is a correct statement when comparing liposuction to any of the other methods of cosmetic surgery. However, there is no such thing as cheap liposuction. In my opinion this actually sounds a little derogative. While liposuction is indeed less costly than any other cosmetic surgery, it is definitely not cheap.

Cost of Cosmetic Surgery vs. Liposuction

Women have, from time immemorial, fought tooth and nail against the ravages of age. In ancient times there were many magic potions which could keep a woman young for a long time. However, the modern man having almost destroyed the indigenous knowledge of the past is now relying more and more on modern medicine.

Cosmetic surgery is a hot favorite for both men and women of today. The cost of most cosmetic surgeries is totally prohibitive, running into tens of thousands depending upon the surgeon and type of the surgical procedure involved. However, since the results are great to say the least, it remains the most popular voluntary surgery in the world.

Liposuction is also a cosmetic surgery by definition. It differs mainly in two major factors, i.e. (i) risks involved and (ii) cost involved. The risks that go with the different types of cosmetic surgery are far greater than those than one encounter with liposuction mainly because the surgery is at its minimum invasion level. The recovery period too is much less and has fewer complications than that of the cosmetic surgery. Similarly while the costs of cosmetic surgery can shoot through the roof, liposuction usually involves a ceiling of $5000 plus minus a few extras. However, as mentioned a little earlier, I would not say that $5000 is actually cheap.

Cheap Liposuction or Cost-Effective Liposuction

I do not agree that liposuction is cheap. Cheaper? Yes. Cost-effective? Yes. But not cheap. So, when I hear people saying things like “cheap liposuction”, I hasten to correct them. There are many types of liposuction based on the areas where these are performed. You can have a ‘cheap liposuction’ if you go to an inexperienced doctor who practiced in a very remote place. But I would advise you against it. There are many complications that can arise from such a surgery and you will end up loosing more than you gained.

Other than this, I would not say that liposuction is cheap. It is safe, it is fast and it has the least risks – I agree. But at an average of $5000, it is definitely not a term that can be classified under ‘cheap’.

Cosmetic concerns that were once only fixed with face lifts or chin tucks can now be handled quickly and easily with chin liposuction procedures. Performed under local anesthetic, there is less blood loss and less trauma to the skin and body; recovery is swift and relatively painless.

Beware of plastic surgeons advertising with gaudy ads on the Internet. There is an advertisement announcing set prices for procedures at a 1-800-toll-free line. This is not an advisable method for finding the most qualified professional to perform your chin liposuction. You want to see credentials, offices, demeanor, and references from previous clients. If the physician you are consulting with is hesitant (or too eager) to give any information you request, find another doctor.

For someone who needs the fat deposits under their jaw line reduced, chin liposuction is a very viable alternative. The loose, hanging flesh can be eliminated, and you can start to look and feel revitalized after about a week. Because the incision is located beneath the jaw line, they are a minor inconvenience and are very hard to see, even upon close inspection. Even though the amount of fat removed is limited, it is often enough to make a significant difference in someone’s appearance.

A Quick Recovery?

Many patients who undergo chin liposuction surgery are able to return to work the next day. A qualified surgeon advises the patient whether or not the procedure will create the desired outcome. It is advisable to consult with a plastic surgeon who specializes in the head and neck, as chin liposuction is a more likely to cause visible repercussions.

A “weekend neck lift” is basically chin liposuction (without the lifting or tucking of other skin) performed on a Friday, thus allowing the healing process to occur over the weekend. The patient can usually return to work within two or three days. However, while the procedure does result in a small visible result, it does not create the drastic change in appearance of the combined procedures.

After chin liposuction, an elastic device is worn for a few days to hasten the skins tightening. With aged or stretched skin, additional tucking or lifting procedures of the face may be required, as the skin may have lost its elasticity or ability to be tightened using non-surgical means.

As with other similar procedures, insurance generally does not cover the costs of chin liposuction or other elective cosmetic procedures. Some offices offer no-interest payment plans, others use outside funding services. Whether or not chin liposuction or other elective surgery is a financial obligation to which you are willing to commit. Some tax deduction advantages may be allowable on an individual basis, but patients should consult IRS Publication 502 for further information.

Liposuction is well known today as the best method of cosmetic surgery. It is comparatively inexpensive, it is safe, and it has an almost non-existent recovery period. So, do you still wonder why face liposuction is the favorite procedure of most women? Yes, one can get extremely good results in removing age from the face with face liposuction.

What is Face Liposuction?

The term face liposuction is actually not descriptive enough. What you would think is only focused on the face, is actually a mix of cheeks, jaws and neck. Liposuction by definition means sucking out fat. Hence, face liposuction would indicate face contouring with the help of removing excess fat from the areas which make the face and neck look older.

How is Face Liposuction done?

The surgeon removes fat from the portions where fat usually accumulates around the face. This is on the cheeks, under the jaw, and the upper part of the neck. This is done through extremely tiny openings or incisions made inside the nose, under the chin, or mouth corners so as to avoid scarring. Liposuction does not involve removing of excess skin. Hence, this is successful only when the skin of the patient is very elastic. Otherwise, it will need surgical removal of the folds of the skin, which becomes another procedure entirely.

Fat removal with the help of this procedure actually helps in re-contouring the face and thereby restoring the youthful look. The sagging of the skin post liposuction should be controlled. This can be done particularly by avoiding too much sun damage, drying of the face and exposure to pollution.

The risks of Face Liposuction

There is almost no risk involved in this type of liposuction. This is because the fat around this area is usually less and it is easily removed. However, there are a few small risks among which lumpiness of the face is the most irritant. Sometimes when the fat is removed fast, the face looses its smooth contours and develops a lumpy appearance. This can be avoided by using very small cannula to extract the fat.

The other risk involved is infection. Since the face will have very small incisions, there will be a recovery period when there will be a moderate amount of fluid retention (anesthetic and blood); this fluid may get infected if the patient discontinues the antibiotics prescribed and/or does not heed the prescribed post-surgery care.

With many advances in the field of Liposuction, larger quantities of fat can be removed more safely with less blood loss. The actual process of large volume liposuction is much more difficult than traditional Liposuction which removes smaller amounts of fat. This newer procedure of taking out greater quantities of fat is an entirely different physiological process. These advances have taken place over less than twenty years and are making Liposuction a very popular cosmetic procedure, in addition to that, large volume liposuction has become popular and more readily available.

While no standardized definition of large volume liposuction exists, large volume liposuction is commonly recognized as total fat removed during the Liposuction procedure or more specifically 5 liters of total volume.

A newer concern with the increase and availability in such cosmetic procedures, is that large volume liposuction results in increased complications and inexperienced doctors performing such procedures. This can range from smaller and non-life threatening complications to the worst complication possible, death.

Big Business

With Cosmetic Surgery becoming a big business, a vital element can be overlooked, which is careful patient selection as large volume liposuction is not for everyone. It is also important for patients to be realistic about their expectations and the limitations of large volume liposuction, keeping in mind that liposuction is still a body contouring method and not a suitable weight loss alternative.

The difference between smaller scale and larger scale Liposuction has to be recognized and obeyed, otherwise the complications can be disastrous and end in death. A concern during the surgery is fluid overload and another significant factor during the procedure is maintaining the appropriate core body temperature of the patient as they are prone to hypothermia due to the work on large portions of the body.

Large volume liposuction while not a cure for obesity, it can be used as a tool to enhance an obese patient’s body to help achieve a more positive outlook and a motivator to a more healthy and rewarding lifestyle. One doctor’s opinion is that it is better to remove larger quantities of fat from fewer sites on the body, suggesting three or four.

The introduction of new and larger scale Liposuction surgeries, many opportunities are opening up for different patient’s needs and desires, and along with this comes different health and safety concerns for both the patient and the doctor, and new ways of performing an old cosmetic procedure with many different options available today.

Breasts have been the crowning glory of women and the most popular ogling item for men. There is a joke going around that if you ask men what women are about, the reply would be, “breasts”. It is true that big breasts are a big turn on, but how big is comfortable big? Going by the saying, “the bigger the better” you would think that any large size is good. This is not true though.

The Downside of Large Breasts

Women who have large breasts are far from happy, as unbelievable as it may sound. Actually, big breasts are difficult to carry and give a lot of back, shoulder, and neck pain just to keep a proper posture. Therefore, many big breasted women develop a slouching posture.

There is also a lot of inconvenience involved, such as these women cannot run as the breasts jiggle in an obscene manner, they cannot wear deep décolletage as they look cheap, and they cannot wear tight fitting dresses because of the same reasons. Besides, they attract attention from men for all the wrong reasons. Hence, most of these women look desperately for a way to reduce the size of their breasts in a safe and inexpensive manner.

What can be Better than Liposuction for Breast Reduction?

The best choice is indeed liposuction for breast reduction for many reasons, the best of which is that it is the safest available. There is no other method, medical or otherwise which has as little risk and as many benefits than the method of liposuction for breast reduction. However, there is a caveat here. The best time to undergo liposuction for breast reduction for best possible results is when the woman is still in her twenties.

The liposuction procedure involves removal of fat from the body, nothing else. Hence, in order for the skin to go back to its original shape it needs to be young and supple. This is true for the skin of the woman till maximum the age 40. After that you will not be able to safely vouch for the skin’s elasticity; hence some other cosmetic surgery will be needed to tuck in the excess skin, and may be to re-position the nipples properly.

Hence, liposuction for breast reduction is a good alternative only if the patient is young. For men however, liposuction for breast reduction can be performed till their 50s, depending upon their health condition and amount of fat involved.

People today, are more and more conscious about the way they look. Women in particular are careful that they are presentable and even attractive at all ages. Cosmetic surgery is not limited to older women. Young girls are increasingly seeking to improve their looks with the help of cosmetic surgery. One of the most popular ways is definitely liposuction, as this procedure is one of the most inexpensive ways to reduce fat from the body; it also has very few if any side effects which makes it a hot favorite among the young girls who hate dieting and regular exercise to reduce fat.

Liposuction Before and After

It is easy to plan and execute liposuction. This is a very simple and safe procedure and it takes a very short time period for the person to recover from the surgery. However, there are a lot of people (women in particular) who are disappointed with the results. The reason for not getting what they want to see in the mirror is because they really do not know the real facts about liposuction before and after the surgery.

There are a few things that you should know about liposuction before and after surgery before you decide to undertake the procedure. Only if you know all of the facts of the procedure you can really decide whether this is for your or not. Hence, before you take the decision you need to talk with at least two expert surgeons and seek their opinion. You also need to know exactly what should you expect.

Many times women want to extract as much fat as possible from their body in one sitting. Sometimes this is possible, but many times this would invite a very serious side-effect, including shock which could be very serious. Other complications could be clot formation under the skin, and a lumpy look of the area from where fat has been removed.

The result you’re looking for may not always be the results you receive. The outcome of liposuction before and after surgery can be quite confusing if you do not understand the procedure well. This is why some people choose the more non-invasive alternatives to liposuction which avoid surgery.

Liposuction is safe when compared to all other cosmetic surgeries. However, there are still quite a number of risks because it does involve surgery. The best way to avoid these complications is to avoid liposuction itself. There are a great number of alternatives which will help you – seek them out, be informed and you will be able to find the best way out.
